Run, Salmon, Run
Silver fish swims up the stream
Sun catching a rainbow on the sly
The mountains rise to show the way
The meadow lake awaits.
We all must go against the flow
To find our home again
Stay strong amid the rapid’s roar
Brave the nets, don’t take the bait
Avoid the hungry mouths of bears.
It is OK to rest awhile
In that deep and sheltered pool
Just beneath the waterfall.
Gather friends then make the leap
In a swirling mass of hope and prayer
Silver fish run up the stream
We are not alone.
