Ridge Line

It is so fine

To reach a ridge top

To balance on the sharp edge

With a clear view

Of where we have been

The mountain is high

The summit lost in the clouds

Where are we going

On this journey

Lasting an eternity?

One step

Another

Our feet are sore

From walking

We will get there

Even if we have to crawl

We would rather run

Skipping, dancing, singing

Soaring above it all.

We climb because we must

We are answering a call

Rest on the ridge line

Rejoice in what we have done

Let the sun warm us

Justice is growing

We must bask in its glow

Tomorrow is time enough

To hit the trail again

The road to a wider justice

Is very long indeed

But my hearts is glad to know

There are blessings along the way.
